The expansive and diverse rock formations in this archipelago was shaped by one of nature most relentless architects – water. Born during the latest ice age, and formed under the pressure of kilometers of ice. Lake Vänern is one of the largest lakes in Europe.
Although the nature is dramatic, it invites you to explore. Drop your shoes and take a walk along the lakeshore amongst dwarf pines. Lay down on the smooth, sun warm rocks or go for a visit to the surrounding islands by kayak.
This camp is located at the shore of lake Vänern, south east of Karlstad in the province of Wermland.
Wake up on this small cape and watch the mist dance across the lake in the early morning. Immerse yourself in the sounds of nature, moss-covered stones and tall pines. Listen to the sound of the loon echo across the lake and watch the sun paint the sky in crimson red as it settles for the day.
This secluded hideaway is located in the forest between Sunne and Ekshärad, in the province of Wermland. A perfect place for quiet contemplation.
